Aurélien Duret received his Engineer and M.Sc degrees in 2007 and his PhD degree in traffic flow theory in 2010.
Then he has worked for a transportation study center during 4 years, where his activities have been focused on traffic simulation and dynamic traffic controls. He has led operational studies, has coordinated international project and has contributed to the writing of several national guidelines on traffic operation, efficiency indicators, operation evaluation and traffic simulation. During this period, he has been qualified as national expert for the french ministry of transportation.
Since 2014, he is an assistant professor at IFSTTAR. His current research is mainly focused on traffic flow theory, traffic control, data assimilation and connected vehicles.
